About BACnet technology
BACnet® is a communication protocol for Building Automation and Control (BAC) networks designed to allow communication of building automation and control systems for applications such as heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning control (HVAC), lighting control, access control, and fire detection systems and their associated equipment. The ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135-2012 governs the BACnet protocol.
Using BACnet-based devices, businesses can implement fully-open, interconnected building automation system with multiple data inputs, reduced overall operating costs and ability for future upgrades.
Bosch IoT Edge speaks BACnet
The BACnet connectivity adapter module of Bosch IoT Edge allows engineers to easily integrate BACnet device connectivity to monitor and control BACnet devices.
System integrators and technology vendors can use Bosch IoT Edge as part of the Bosch IoT Suite to build а complex sequence of operation, monitoring and alarming needs for BTL-listed (BACnet Testing Laboratories), BACnet building controllers, expansion modules, electronic actuators, and sensors.
