We are happy to announce that the CoAP Adapter has become part of our product portfolio extending the Bosch IoT Suite offering of protocol adapters.
As the name suggests (CoAP stands for Constrained Application Protocol), this is a specialized protocol for constrained devices and constrained (e.g. low-power, lossy) networks.
The implementation of the Bosch IoT Hub CoAP Adapter is based on our open source project Eclipse Californium. Bosch IoT Hub supports CoAP-based bidirectional communication (device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device). The devices may be connected either directly to the protocol adapter or via gateways in case of restrictions on the device side.
The CoAP Protocol Adapter is available for starter and standard plans. In a later release, it will also be added to our free plan.
