The latest version of the developer console for the Bosch IoT Suite comes with the following features and improvements:
Virtual demo device
The new virtual demo device enables you to evaluate, learn about and demonstrate the Bosch IoT Suite without the hurdle of buying specific hardware.
All you need is a browser or a smartphone to go through the new tutorial Device connection – Demo device, which uses the virtual demo device.
You will learn how a device is provisioned and connected, how telemetry data is ingested, and how commands can be sent to control the device.
Once you have provisioned the virtual demo device using the corresponding Eclipse Vorto model, open the Information tab via the blue box in the Thing details.
Then, you can either open the virtual demo device in another browser tab or scan the QR code with your smartphone.
Notifications
The developer console now provides notifications, which inform you during your session.
The bell icon in the header shows the number of notifications. With a click, you can open the list.
When you mark a notification as read, it will be deleted.
Accessibility and design was improved
Colors, contrast, and design were optimized to improve the accessibility of the Bosch IoT Suite Console, to achieve a unified style with other Bosch web UIs.
