General FAQ

Yes, we do offer free plans for all Bosch IoT Suite services. Please consult the service catalog to subscribe.

Currently, an upgrade from existing free subscriptions to paid plans is not available. If you wish to register for a paid subscription, please create a separate instance via one of the marketplaces, e.g. Bosch IoT Suite on AWS Marketplace

Monthly base fees for all our service packages and services can be found in the service catalog.

Information on fees for additional capacities can be found under Pricing & Conditions.

There are various ways to get support for free plans and paid subscriptions. Please refer to our support page for more information.

Go to your service subscriptions. Select the service instance you want to terminate and click on “Edit”. There you can cancel your subscription.

Only free plans and non-company accounts will be terminated automatically if they remain unused for a certain period. Automatic termination of your account depends on the last time you were logged in.

If you have not been logged in at any time over the past 12 weeks, then you will receive a notification via email.

If upon first notification, you do not log in within 4 weeks, your account will be suspended/locked. At this point, subscriptions continue; the service instances are not yet deprovisioned. To unsuspend your account, please contact us by email.

When an account is suspended for more than 8 weeks, the account is automatically terminated and all related data is deleted. This includes the deprovisioning of all free subscriptions.

It is possible to use the old namespace of a terminated subscription for a new subscription. Please take into account, that this will be possible only with a delay of 3 days.

If you plan to reuse the namespace for another subscription, consider deleting the namespace manually, before terminating your subscription. Thus, the namespace is available for your other solution within seconds.

EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires a data protection officer (DPO) to be designated if any processing of personal data is involved. Because Bosch IoT Suite services may be used to process personal data, users fall into the category of “processors” and as such are required to provide the contact details of their DPO. When setting up your user account, you may designate yourself as data protection officer, with your own email address for contact, if you fulfil the corresponding tasks in your role as processor, or if the application for which you intend to use Bosch IoT Suite services does not involve the processing of personal data. Please refer to our Bosch IoT Suite Terms of Use and our page about Data Protection Under Commission for further information.

Please refer to Articles 37, 38 and 39 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for information concerning the designation, position and tasks of a data protection officer : https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679&from=EN
